been a moment since i've written anything here. i guess im coming to terms with the fact that i actually completed the requirements for my degree. and the realization that i've been sort of... putting my life on hold until i finished it. and now its finished. and now life must continue on.

but i still have thoughts. so here are some.

morality in media is fucking stupid, all for show. check a box. nobody actually cares about the impacts of anything on anyone. as long as it doesnt disrupt the accumulation of capital nobody cares. its so exhausting to pretend that i believe anyone cares, but i know thats the game. to be quite honest, i dont care either.

pop culture is the same thing over and over just tweaked slightly enough to appeal to changing audience desires. you can build a pop star by analyzing public response to previous stars endeavours and integrating them with modern sentiments.

what does it mean to be canadian? is it a consumer driven ideology?
